The Valley Duo has performed at local wineries, festivals, and retirement centers.  They play an upbeat mix of classic tunes from the 60's and many other crowd-pleasing standards.  The Valley Duo is a great choice for parties, retirement homes, community events, and local wineries.
Laura      Scott
Born in Waukegan, Illinois, Laura was raised in a musical family.  Dad was a drummer and vocalist in a swing band.  Mom played piano, sister and brothers sang and played guitar.  Always ready to harmonize, she has sung in community choirs, barbershop quartets and gospel groups.  Since 2003, Laura has been a member of the Jefferson State Chorale Coalition directed by Dr. Kirby Shaw.  "Singing with Scott as the Valley Duo has been an absolute blast!  I feel so fortunate to sing so many of my favorite tunes with such musical talent". Scott grew up in a musical family in Washington state. Dad played boogie woogie piano and mom played classical piano.  Listening to records of the Beatles and Rolling Stones influenced Scott to begin playing guitar.  In high school, he played guitar in the stage band. After High School, he played in bar bands, often playing 5 hours a night, 6 nights a week where he honed his musical skills.  As well as enjoying singing  with Laura, Scott has a home recording studio where he enjoys laying down tracks with various instruments and other musicians.
